The kids made elephant toothpaste the other day with 3% hydrogen peroxide and yeast.
I felt the need to try the more exciting, not safe for kids, version.
It took a few tries to get the result I wanted, but it was worth it. I think I should have tried to use a bigger container because it would be easier to pour all of the chemicals in before the container overflowed.
Good thing I used gloves (35% hydrogen peroxide will burn your skin).
The reaction is exothermic, which means it produces heat. The bottle was very warm after the reaction.
This reaction uses dangerous chemicals, so don’t try this at home. Try the yeast version that I explained on the other post.
