After the last post about asking the kids questions relating to the Super Bowl, I got motivated and turned it into a game.
I wrote a bunch of questions about football, math, geography, spelling, and even a couple science questions that all relate to today’s game.
Then I used Wikki Sticks and a green folder to create a little football field.
The rules of the game are simple. Ask one team a question. If they get it right they more the football forward to the next line, and they keep answering questions until they score or it is a turnover. If they miss the question, it is a fumble and the other team gets a chance to recover by answering the question. If the second team gets it right, they take control of the ball. If the second team misses, the first team keeps the ball, but it does not advance.
Here is my list of questions if you are interested. Super Bowl Questions
While I was typing this post, my 6 year old made a bird out of the Wikki Sticks.
So I guess we got some art in today too. Our kids love Wikki Sticks (or Bendaroos, which is a different brand of the same product). They are basically yarn coated in wax. You can use them to build 2D or 3D shapes.
