I’m just kidding with the title, but along with our regular school work, the kids helped me with an outside painting project today. Since this particular project is weather-dependent, we just need to work on it when we have a sunny day.
Often projects take longer with my children helping, but it is worth it to teach them the value of work and how to complete simple home repair tasks. I still remember the day Seth handed Elijah a new door knob for a bathroom and told him to install it (with no instruction from us). What a great sense of accomplishment we give our children when they can complete projects like these! Are there any home repair projects that you and your children complete together?
