I don’t know about you, but after Christmas, I start thinking about how to get more organized, get “back on track”, and start looking ahead to the new year.
The last year was my first year for setting goals for myself (I will share about how I did in the next few days). It also was a big year for me to start saying goodbye to survival mode.
One of the biggest struggles for me has always been keeping up with my housework. I’ve made great strides in this area, but when illness or other stresses overtake me, it’s the first thing to go. Something that has been a big help to me is the Motivated Moms chore planner. On weeks I use it, we do much better at having a clean house. When we don’t, things start to really pile up.
If you aren’t familiar with the Motivated Moms chore planner, it’s a weekly (or even daily) list of tasks to complete. It includes things like wiping off the kitchen counters daily as well as chores that rotate like changing the a/c filter. I shared a much more detailed review earlier this year.
I like to use the physical chore planner in our home because it is posted on the fridge for everyone to see. The kids help me complete tasks from the list as well as hold me accountable by saying, “Mom, did you read to us yet?” or “Did you take a vitamin?” I appreciate how the chore planner helps me to use my spare minutes more wisely and efficiently.
I shared about Motivated Moms back in May, but I wanted to tell you about it again because you might be looking for something new for the new year.
Susan from Motivated Moms is allowing me to give away 3 copies of their chore planner (or the iOS app if you prefer)! The contest ends with the start of the new year, but the planners will be on sale through January 2nd if you don’t win. (From December 31st through January 2nd, the ebooks and the apps will be $2 off.) There is an android app as well, but you can’t win that one (sorry!). I don’t have any iOS products, but the android app looks very nice from the little I have tried it out. The 2014 version of the Android app is free right now (at least at Amazon) if you want to test it out.
There are 16 choices for the chore planner. What you get is a digital copy of the chore planner to print out yourself. There are color or black and white versions. I had the black and white full-page weekly planner for 2014. My new one is the black-and-white daily half-page planner with the Bible reading passages included.
If you choose the app, you have lots of customizable options – hiding tasks you don’t need, adding in additional tasks, sorting by room, and so on. My little bit of experience with the android app has been great. I actually think I may end up buying the app and using a combination of the two this next year.
Now, onto the giveaway:
This giveaway is only available to U.S. residents 18 and older.
I will contact the three winners as soon as the contest ends. Remember, the chore planner will be on sale for $2 off December 31st through January 2nd.
